This is nominally working. However:

An aspect ratio of 16:9 is assumed. Videos with a different aspect will have black borders.
There is a noticeable delay when opening a pop-up before the video appears. Perhaps we need some sort of placeholder - is this better than a blank space?

Also: you-tube "embeddable" urls must be used, otherwise there is a warning and the video won't render.

i.e.

This works: https://www.youtube.com/embed/U3-EOOStzto

This won't: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3-EOOStzto

You can get these by right-clicking the video and selecting the appropriate option for an "embed code" and extracting the URL from the HTML in the paste buffer. Alternatively, just put the video ID at the end of the URL `https://www.youtube.com/embed/.
