As I understand it, this means:

all types (audio, video, text) of content have latitude/longitude fields (as now)
they also get a region field (which expects GeoJSON)
either a location or a region can be supplied (or both, in which case the region is used)
region content types are dropped

I think this works now.

I've dropped the region content type, but kept audio video and article types.
However, they all share the same fields, defined in a common template.
The region field overrides the latitude and longitude fields, which are no longer mandatory
But if you omit both obviously there won't be any presence on the map.
A youtube_url will be shown if present, else the hero_image, else blank
