The NameRes /status endpoint (https://github.com/TranslatorSRI/NameResolution/pull/119) is really useful to quickly tell if a NameRes instance has all the data loaded. We should be able to implement something similar for NodeNorm without too much difficulty: it would only need to report the DBSIZE of all seven databases.
