On both loading reading screens, and screens editing - animated 'things' should introduce the page - highlighting useful elements without stopping the user from acting immediately.
In addition when users first create an article - it should come with a reasonable map location, default to the most recent dataset the user created or a global default if there is no user created datasets exist. It should show the dataset as a preview overlay and a decent graph preset. The preset can be hardcoded for now - pulling all columns in.
the little things should highlight the dataset to pick, pause there for a few seconds and then show the edit for the visual (colors etc).
