They are pretty different so should have separate created buttons. Additionally a layer should be the default rather than a callout. You should not be able to switch a graph model to a callout as this rarely makes sense and also blows away all the data in the graph object. This means callout should not exist the dropdown for type - instead a 'C' should be shown next to the item. Likewise for graph objects a 'G' should be shown. We might use icons instead for these if good versions from bootstrap exist.
