List of additions

WSP development of MidMITs demand on behalf of MidlandsConnect. The key updates are as follows:

• Adding the MC assignment model (MiHAM and MiRANDA) zone systems and translations.
• Adapted NoTEM to work with the Midlands assignment models in the form of MiTEM.
• Created the MidMITs distribution model front end script.
• Created a new generic trip end forecasting process.
• Adding additional flexibility to trip end models to allow for localised trip end adjustments and for calculating adjustment factors based on SATURN ME2 outputs.
• Added processes for processing MND and DfT COVID data.
• Added processes to convert the output demand to SATURN and CUBE formats for use in MiHAM and MiRANDA.
• Added processes for extracting costs from SATURN and CUBE models.
• Fixed various errors in order to allow the tools to work with the Midlands data.

Tasks to be completed

• [x] Update branch with master and solve merge conflicts
• [ ] Merge the MidMITs distribution model front-end script with the original NorMITs one
• [x] Merge the run_ntem_forecast script into run_forecast to have a single forecasting front-end script
• [ ] Merge run_mitem into run_notem to create a single trip end model front-end script

Test runs to pass

• [x] Run of NoTEM, reproducing 9.10 results
• [x] Run of Tram Model, reproducing 9.10 results
• [x] Run of DiMo, reproducing 9.10.results
• [x] Run of NTEM forecast, reproducing latest results
• [x] Run of NTEM forecast checks

Branch has now been updated with master and merge conflicts dealt with. Remaining tasks have been broken down to be manged as time permits. See the attached project for more detail

Confirming test runs pass and then merging with master. Content in the branch will be used to improve and feed in to future work, namely EDGE forecasting and the new caf.toolkit. All remaining work on this stream is now captured in a project to be tracked and updated as time permits

@BenTaylor-TfN please could you wait on the merge so I can update run_forecast to handle NTEM and check the results are consistent with run_ntem_forecast on master
