The original sound manager was made early in my Unity experience, and was a bit of a shot in the dark in terms of design. I don't know if it's actually the way sound was meant to be incorporated into games in Unity. The fact that it's not tethered to a set of volume sliders and doesn't discriminate between SFX and background music is evidence of this fact.
I think this means designing and implementing a more robust music and sound manager.
