Leaving out the breaking crate updates for now, we'll get to them soon in another release.

I don't exactly remember how we intended cargo release -x 0.26.0 to work, I don't have rights to push neither the signed commit to main directly nor push the 0.26.0 tag on which the CI release process triggers...
