I know this has been discussed before that you don't want to add checkboxes for enabling/disabling mods due to clutter, but I just had an idea that I think is intuitive and compact enough.
What if, when you hover over a mod's card in the list, an overlay appears on the mod's icon that shows an enabled checkmark or disabled X mark? I think that would work well as I feel most people would look for checkboxes on the left side, and since clicking on the mod icon does nothing right now, it's not conflicting with any other functionality.
Either this, or maybe a checkbox can be placed directly beneath the mod icon. You could even bump up the icon + title/summary from being centered to add a line aligned with the Open in Browser, Modrinth, and Curseforge buttons so it looks nicer. Could even add an "enabled/disabled" text beside the checkbox that way... or whatever you feel like.
