Redmi 9 underpowered? #103

Just found my old device in the drawer (Redmi 9 code name Lancelot). Tried to install TrebleDroid AOSP but lags if brightness level is set to high. Whereas if set at the lowest brightness level (0%) there is no lag at all. Does redmi 9 lack power?

Current Behavior:

Lag if brightness level is set high. Doesn't lag if the brightness level is set low (0%). ### Describe the bug Lags ### To Reproduce 1. Increase the brightness level. Enter settings and scroll up and down or scroll on quick settings. 2. Lower the brightness level (0%). Enter settings and scroll up and down or scroll on quick settings. 3. See the difference. ### Expected behavior No lag occurs. ### Photos ### Smartphone (please complete the following information): - Device: Redmi 9 (Lancelot). - Build Flavor: https://github.com/TrebleDroid/treble_experimentations/releases/download/ci-20240226/system-td-arm64-ab-vanilla.img.xz - Version: https://github.com/TrebleDroid/treble_experimentations/releases/tag/ci-20240226 ### Additional context

Enabling Disable HW overlay, Mediatek GED KPI support and Disable SF GL backpressure is very useful. Time for mtk-bpf-patcher + securize + magisk + microg installer revived.

Thanks phh and other devs.

Fixed by Fix UI lags on Redmi 9

But make sure you use TD based GSI. e.g. flash LineageOS TD-based, not LineageOS "Light". Because LineageOS "Light" doesn't have device_phh_treble in its manifest.

Also don't forget to enable "Rotation perf hint instead of touch", "Mediatek GED KPI support" and "Disable SF GL backpressure". Then "Force alternative backlight scale". No need to enable "Disable HW overlays".
