Screen switching broken on Foldable devices #90

Ever since the middle of December, there is a bug that prevents my foldable from switching properly from external screen to internal and vice versa. Basically, when opening the device, the internal screen does not turn on while the external does deactivate. I have to press the power button to put the device in standby and then again to wake it up. At that point, the screen will either go on properly or only half of it will... That bug does not happen in the stock Google GSI and it happens in all GSI Roms that use TD Sources...

My device is a Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 I have also tested the latest TD Build. Same issue. That issue was not there until the middle of December.

Hey guys, I did some more testing and I can confirm that GSI based on TD R14 are not affected and all from R17 onwards are. So whatever is breaking it was introduced in R17. Again, the stock Google GSI works fine so it is something that was added/changed in TD R17...
