GTK2 UI inconsistencies #222

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Compile without --enable-gtk3 to build GTK2 package
2. Run application

What is the expected output? 
This is how 1.0.2 looks like (and how I think it should):

What do you see instead?
This is how 1.1 looks like. Notice empty space on edges and between toolbar and 
menus.

In both cases search box doesn't look right.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm using Arch Linux and transmission-remote-gtk 1.1 built using PKGBUILD from 
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/transmission-remote-gtk/

Please provide any additional information below.

Sorry I never really got round to looking at this, most people were using the 
GTK3 version at the time.

I was mainly keeping support because the last version of debian used GTK2, 
hopefully everyone is using GTK3 now so I removed support recently.
