Upon further investigation, it seems the problem isnt with the RSS plugin. The
same thing happens when I drop a
torrent into one of my watch directories. Torrents adds, but never starts.

Can't reproduce.
1) See to rTorrent console. What it say about that torrents?
2) Remove from rtorrent.rc any "execute" of ruTorrent scripts (if such exists),
restart rTorrent, don't start ruTorrent, try to add torrent via watch
directory. If
it doesn't start - ruTorrent hasn't relation to your problem.

It seems rtorrent was the problem. Odd because this never happened until I
upgraded to 3.0. rtorrent console
was saying:
When I put a torrent file into the watch directory I get the following error:
"Download event action failed: Bad return code."
Restarting rtorrent seems to have solved the problem. Mark as closed.

yes, i had this same issue come up recently, it seems that when you upgrade
now, you
must close rtorrent, then restart it. It never used to happen but it DOES
happen now.
