Constant RX led but no data shown in putty or securecrt #191

I know this isn't related to mazdatweaks directly, but I cannot seem to get the serial connection to work. I have the GND under a screw, the RXD to the top pin, and TXD to the bottom pin. All I get is constant RXD and I can't seem to use the command prompt to send any data either.

Make sure your wires are secure and making contact with both sides. There will be a lot of messages flying by but that doesn't mean your commands are not going through.
