Thanks, It's been a few months since I have touched the code, a few more since I have actively worked on it.
I do not plan to continue work on this project due to the official API release. For any use-case I had, the API fills the requirement better. The only things I can think of that this projects can do that goriot cannot are 1. Provide a service like lolnexus that shows active games/potentially get spectator and replay data (but that would be a lot more work), and 2. Be the groundwork for a full client replacement (which Riot has shown they are not a supporter of happening).
Right now this library works for the most part, and would be fine for a hobby type project where full stability and error handling aren't required. I would guess to really polish up the project would be a few weeks of work, but I don't want to spend anymore time on it. If you look at the golol.go file, you can see the examples of some of the requests. If you need to make a different request you can base it off of those examples.
If you try to run the tests and they fail, make sure that the client version is updated locally. To get it, just open your Lol client and copy and paste the value from the top left corner once logged in.
To me, this project is now just a portfolio piece. Thank you for your interest though, and if you do use it I would love to see what comes from it.
Hello Trevor.
I was thinking how much do you think is missing to this project for be completed and updated?
The lolrtmpsclient is an amazing work wich i was thinking to use but since i move to go (Wich i still learning) this could be amazing finished.
Anyway, amazing work and amazing skills do you have, i hope you in somehow plan to finish this since is a shame after all the work you already done, not finish this.
Cordially.
