On Bittboy, trying to delete a link on the Gmenu2x menu asks to press Y to confirm. None of the buttons work (i.e. no Y button on Bittboy?).

Which cfw version are you using? and which bittboy version?

I'm using MiyooCFW-2.0.0-Beta-7fc5140.zip on Bittboy 3.5.

EDIT in the meantime, I just delete the links from the gmenu2x sections using commander.
