6 years ago Yup, same issue. "Disassemble on dismount" doesn't do anything either. Unfortunately, because this renders the mod totally broken. I don't remember this being an issue in the past..
I'm using older Minecraft although, the 1.10.2 versions. So this has been broken a while.

Upon dismounting in multiplayer the game will dismount the player at the very top of the binding box of the airship. In the event that one builds a rather large ship, say 10 blocks high, the playing will be dropped 10 blocks. I have also found that depending on the blocks around the helm, it will spit the player out decently far in front or to the side of the ship.
