mod version- 1.12-6.340 minecraft version- 1.12.2 forge version - 14.23.4.2759

how can i make docks...everytime my ship gets close to something it is all slow and can't get close to things.

Edit: seems to work when using anchor points but now for some reason when aligning linked anchor points my ship is up above the ground anchor floating in the sky rather than aligning to the side of it like I want.

I wrote a part of the anchoring wiki in 1.7.10 please have a look, if that solve your problem. I had a hard time to figure out how anchoring works, so i wrote down my steps, that worked.
