My submersible is fully closed. I set fill ratio to 1. Why won't the boat sink? #318

Behold, the rantings of a confused minecrafter:

I am using Davinci's Vessels V1.12-6.340 and moving world V1.12-6.342 on a server with a couple other mods. Minecraft 1.12.2, forge 14.23.4.2705.

I have made a fully enclosed block of nearly solid iron, and it didn't sink. I made it hollow, and it still didn't sink. I messed around with the fill ratio, setting it to 0, .3, 1, and .9, and none of these options made the vessel sink, I checked my ascend/descend keybinds with airships, and they worked. Enable submersibles is set to true. What am I missing? Why can't I make a craft that sinks? I have attached my davincisvessels.cfg file in .txt form, just the way github likes it. davincisvessels.txt

You don't submerse using the up and down keybinds. To submerse you need to open the vessel's inventory and click the button with the picture of the helm on it.

Thank you for the prompt response! The button is grayed out however.

I fiddled around by placing and removing some blocks, and it worked. Thank you for your hard work on this amazing project! I am using Davinci's vessels in concert with ICBM in order to make a submarine that can pull up to a base and launch missiles. Some of the most amazing things are possible with this mod, and I really appreciate it.
