Accidental logging with Android App #35

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to trig page on App and click on log trig
2. Press back button as I've changed my mind
3. When sync logs is pressed at a later date it logs the one I didn't want to.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android V0.3

Please provide any additional information below.
I've accidently logged a local trig twice (3rd time was to check the process)
when I thought I had cancelled it. This was achieved by using the back button
on my phone rather than the delete log button. I think it would be better the
other way round where you have to physically save the log for later
synchronising rather than cancelling what you were doing. Otherwise there may
be a lot of accidental logs when people realise they are on the wrong page.

Hmmm, I hear what you're saying, but this might not be a particularly quick and
easy change to make, as it goes against the standard Android GUI design, which
assumes that all page updates are immediately persisted.

In the meantime, I have added a visual cue to the "Nearest" screen, to
highlight any trigs which have un-synced logs.
