Reduce GPS consumption #41

Some activities (eg nearest list) seem to continue listening to the GPS, even 
after they are paused.  Need to ensure that listeners are stopped / started as 
required, and not left running in the background.  (Or, at least, not without 
explicit request to do so in some preference option!)
