There is a source download and I can see the git web view, but I cannot guess the git repository address and if anonymous checkout is allowed. Will contact H.G. Muller.

http://home.hccnet.nl/h.g.muller/CVfairy.html says that "Questions about Fairy-Max can be posted as comments to the Fairy-Max page on the chessvariants website, which are checked regularly by H.G. Muller, and of which this page is an adapted version." Unfortunately, the chessvariants website is not available anymore. Will need to find another contact.

The copyright file of the source tarball included an email address. I sent an email there asking for the git repository address.

Git is at http://hgm.nubati.net/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=fairymax.git but I haven't yet figured out how to clone it.
