Either on Wikipedia or with google, maybe also readout the Wikipedia pages and add game information of the inspirations like genre/publisher/developer/publishing date (from the info box on the Wikipedia pages).

Maybe there is a Google API in Python which also returns some significance score. Then I could filter by significance.

I also searched on Wikipedia with the Wikipedia Python API binding but haven't yet started scraping WP pages.
