Can't install in Windows 8 Pro OS

As you can see at 
http://blog.chromium.org/2012/10/smarter-npapi-installs-from-chrome-web.html 
and https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=153648, NPAPI isn't 
present in Win8 and so there's no "fix" for this issue. Because NPAPI isn't 
secure, this decision was made in the interest of safety. This extension, using 
NPAPI in its current form, will never be able to work in Win8 (unless MS 
shockingly makes a major change in philosophy).

This is a great tool to me. However, it will be a pity if I can't use it on my 
latest laptop.

Is there any way we can turn on NPAPI or skip away the security check so we can 
use this tool on Win8 platform?
