I get that you're probably a Windows user.

This makes the Linux script do the same thing the Windows one does. Bash scripting really isn't harder than Powershell.

It might be good to put a list of the patches you want to apply in a text file, and then read that text file from both the Windows and the Linux script, so they stay in sync and have less repeated code.

Thanks for doing this! The prior Linux script maintainer disappeared on me and I've been meaning to do it myself, but haven't been able to find the time for it. This saves me a whole lot of work
