6 years ago I'll handle this once @thomas-keller has provided the database generation script, as it won't be much use until then.
As there are a number of moving parts here, it would be ideal if we provided a script of some kind to automatically handle a run for a non-technical user. I believe that it would be simplest for the end user if we were to provide a batch script for Windows and a Bash script for Linux and Mac, but if anyone has a preference for something else (like a Makefile or Rakefile) I can do that instead.
