At the direction of the SBE, modify the "Assistant’s Statement/Info" section:
[x] change the "Signature" line to something like "Your Name (In Lieu of Signature)"
[x] when the swear/affirm box is checked, we may autofill the applicant’s signature line with the text “Applicant Unable to Sign"
[ ] require that the text “Applicant Unable to Sign" be present within the applicant's signature line when the swear/affirm box is checked
I am troubled by the order of operations inherent in having people check off a box that says "I have written on the Applicant’s signature line 'Applicant Unable to Sign.'" when they have not yet gotten to the applicant's signature line. Almost everybody checking this box will be either lying, confused, or both.
