Btw, I know no need to mention, but please be aware of local culture of the area. The area the place has been scouted is a non international one.

People is not usually interested in second hand/thrifts shops, dumping, and other commonly used sharing methods in other parts in Europe, specially as much as I am. Some people consider some of this practices against ethics and even law. This part of Spain is very, very, local, not in connection (neither interested) with regular and accepted international social trends like, for instance, vegetarianism. I know this well. I have been a vegetarian here since 2009. Another example would be to get things second hand. For many Spaniards (not sure about Catalans), not buying something may mean not supporting local economy which is seen as hostile. Dumpster searching is directly seen by many as borderline legal.

However, one of the whole point of putting together the place was, and still is, to bring that energy into the area in a respectful manner so this can do its little to better the surroundings. This is going to flow naturally, but it can be helped with some actions like an introduction local culture text, main lines of volunteering, structure of activities, regular weekly meetings, house duties schedule and many other areas that should be covered in a functional way asap.

@guaka - Do you reckon this is still relevant and, if so, should we split it up into several issues and add them as something a new volunteer could do? (In this project.) /Martin A.
