Renaming the repo as "Community" is somewhat vague? #31

(There are other "non-tech" repos, so perhaps that term would be too all-inclusive.)

guaka commented 4 years ago

E.g. media is another repo

(And here's an example of a link to an issue that automatically adds a backlink, see https://github.com/Trustroots/media/issues/1)

@guaka What do you think of "Generic Non-Tech" or something similar as repo name?

guaka commented 4 years ago

Sounds a bit generic ;) but fine with me.

25 folks watching this repo... What do you think of "generic non-tech"? If you don't like it, got any other suggestions?

I think Community isn't vague, but from reading the README, it sounds like it's a bit misleading. This repo seems to be about ideas that are still cooking or haven't found their "real" home yet.

EDIT: Nevermind, the README was just updated. :) Now, the README seems to reflect the title, and vice versa. So I prefer the status quo.

My thoughts on "Community" being vague is that mostly everything would relate to the Trustroots community, no? The general (new) idea for the repo would be using it for project management of non-tech issues that do not fall under the umbrella of other non-tech repos (media, support, etc).

Lemoert commented 4 years ago

Seeing as it would be something of a catch-all repo, I thought of the mentioned change, but other suggestions are obviously welcome.

I'm also fine either way. This is probably a place where bike-shedding is a danger.

loberto commented 4 years ago

what about "Random pile of miscellaneous tasks and projects".... too long?

How about general or volunteers? I think we can still use this repo to point people to the media and support repo, can we not? Then it would justify a general place for just non-tech...
