Improve Slimer's greeting message #30

Open ErisDS opened 10 years ago

When someone joins IRC and says a variation of hello, slimer responds with a greeting. This is nice, but it is also confusing as unless you notice how quick he is there is no way to know that he is a bot, so he should probably say so.

Additionally, this is a missed opportunity to provide people with valuable information. We ought to provide them with a link to a page somewhere (wiki?) that explains where to get help for various things - docs, forum, support@ email address etc.

Perhaps we should also make this or a similar message respond to a command from slimer?

Maybe he could say something after the greeting, like Good day, $name. I am the Ghost bot or something else ...

I think the wiki is a good place where you can write the things down like where to look or what to do for different questions. But since you launched http://support.ghost.org/ I think you don't need a wiki page anymore cause all the different things and places where to look can be put there?

There is the command slimer roadmap which respond with the link to roadmap and Planned-Features. According to that, we can make a new script, like slimer support based on this script, so that it shows a link to the wiki page or http://support.ghost.org/.
