Please add support for tor bridge (android) #1666

China cannot directly connect to the tor network. Please add a tor bridge to connect to the tor network.

Thanks for requesting this! We do plan to do it, but the difficulty depends on exactly what is needed.

Can you give us as much information as you can about what kind of bridge would be most useful, and how you currently use bridges e.g. in Tor browser? For example:

  1. Do you use Snowflake bridges, or something else?
  2. Can you discover bridges automatically or do you need the ability to enter your own bridge in the UI?
  3. Are there any other options you need?

Any information you can provide will make it more likely we'll be able to address this need properly, which we definitely want to do!

Also, what is the best way for you to get the Android app? Is there anything we need to consider here, or can you reliably download the APK via TorBrowser or from Github? (I heard that the Github CDN was blocked in China and file downloads don't always work.)

I use the Snowflake Bridge and the bridges that come with other tor browsers.

I can use fdroid to download software, and of course I can also use github to download software.
