Bloodstone changes #2491

Describe/name the existing feature this suggestion relates to Bloodstone Ore.

Describe the change or feature you think would be good to see Although bloodstone ores are of a high level dimension and very useful for crafting powerful weapons, they are extremely easy to find (not at bedrock level, they spawn surrounded by a single material, many caves spawn at that height), nearly riskless (barely any monsters will attack you when mining, no negative effects, no lava, no falling blocks, no sudden holes etc.), and give lots of XP.

Add any alternative implementations you think might work It would be very interesting that there was a chance of spawning certain monsters when breaking a Bloodstone Ore.

Include any additional background information I'm new to AoA, but I've tried many other modpacks. I was personally shocked by how easy it was to mine this material (considering its uses).

Adding artificial difficulty to something doesn't really work. I'm not sure how this would actually improve the mod, asides from just just making things more annoying for players. Random elements of cheap difficulty is something this mod used to do, and was hated for it. Bloodstone is that strong because that's what it is, a tier 2 material with the ore requiring picks with a higher harvest level than Diamond. The lack of any hazards in Abyss' underground is a result of Abyss being bland as hell since we haven't gotten to improving it yet. Interesting challenges should be the priority, not superficial ones.
