Mecha Suit/ Armor #2627

MECHA SUIT DESCRIPTION

Visual Appearance The Mecha Suit would follow the general Iromine theme. Perhaps looking like a cross between Lyonic armor and Archaic Armor

Obtaining The Mecha Suit would originate from Iromine, making it a T2 armor set. It would be added to the Iro Crate drop table, and be completed/repaired with one or multiple power cores and mecha gears per piece.

Usage Each Piece of the Mecha Set would grant a basic potion effect or ability. There would also be a full set bonus, perhaps called Overdrive. When wearing a full set the armor's functionality would improve such that each effect is increased to level II or a second ability:

Alternatives(Balancing) Overdrive could require being powered by power cores in the off-hand to initiate for a few minutes, if this was the case the effects could also be a little more powerful (Like having Haste II and Strength II from the chestplate)

In order to avoid making existing mecha tools and weapons more difficult to obtain, Iro crates could drop slightly more items, or the Mecha Suit could be made purely from infusion.

The Mecha suit could damage the player while in water (not waterproof)

Notes I am not aware of previous similar suggestions.

Please comment if I missed anything, I'll try to keep an eye on them.

This sounds better for a different mod. And as an AoA armor set, it's all over the place. Most sets focus on a single theme. This one is trying to be "put as many potion effects into 1 set as possible", which is just... boring.

Thanks for the comment! Completely true, but that also shows how it differs from existing AoA content. It would be a good balanced set for generalized use imo.

Revisiting this because I missed a little bit of detail.

I think the whole point is this is the third best armor for many jobs, and generally too weak to be viable for heavy combat; however, it's great for QOL exploring/ scouting in multiplayer (at least in dryer conditions).

The Mecha suit could damage the player while in water (not waterproof)

This could also cause the suit to stop providing effects, even give slowness because of the extra weight.
