This is horrible for my Ultimate Samurai mutation which is like 4 swordsmen.

The "Four Swordsmen" mutation is working just fine -- Katanas are properly given to each survivor, even on maps that katanas do not normally spawn.

If you took a look in the IDA, you would know how brilliantly Valve solves their problems disregarding the 3rd party developer. :( There's a direct gamemode check if the mutation is "mutationx", x = mutation number of four swordsmen. If I silently change the cvar to 4 swordsmen just the give the katana, I automatically am forfeiting the right to be the VScript and it automatically stops being my mutation.

My mutation is still not working in custom campaigns unfortunately
