network view freezes on clicking record #25

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load a dynamic network. Click record, enter the file name and play.
2. Hit record again to stop recording.
3. Try moving the slider, clicking play or recording.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The network view should update on slider movement or clicking play but it 
freezes.  

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.
