[UX] Option to lock one pane's markets / Sync connections among panes

• has 4 panes on
• one trade feed listening to btcusd
• 3 charts watching another symbol on 3 different timeframes

would like to change all charts pane's source at once but keep the feed sources unchanged

proposal: option to 'lock' markets one pane selection then using 'replace all sources' only the charts will be impacted

I am glad to see this was in your mind. This is something I wanted to file as UX enhancement.

A common feature you would find a lot around in trading/charting platforms is grouping panes. As you described, the goal would be to share a symbol or a set of symbols between all the members of the same group. All other parameters (e.g.: timeframes, pane types, etc...) could be different as you mentioned.

How would that work?

In the pane's header, you would have a small drop-down with a fixed number of options (usually they use colors as it is quicker to recognize which pane is part of which group.

Few things to consider:

• The last pane to be added to the group gets its active connections modified
• The parameters should be exportable/importable in templates
• Can the user edit the group presets either from the selection dropdown or from the global settings pane?

Very hard and probably out of scope, but could be amazing:

• Can we make it work multi-screen? Can a template be scattered on several tabs?
