Dominos loses bar configuration upon dual talent spec. #376

AddOn Name: Dominos

AddOn Version: 1.16.2

World of Warcraft Version: 3.3.3

What issue are you having? Do you have any steps to reproduce it?
I have a warrior with dual spec (arms/prot). When I'm in arms (the main
spec) all bars work without problems in each stance, but sometimes when I
switch to second spec (protection) and get into defensive stance, I lost
some buttons. In bars where I have all the buttons asigned, I get some
random empty ones.

What addons are you using? Do you still have the issue with all other
addons disabled?
The issue is random. Having Dominos enabled and all the other addons
disabled doesnt solve the problem. I have other characters with dual
talents and doesnt seem to be any problem. I think it could be due to the
warrior stances, but dont really know.

Can you provide screenshots of this?

First screenshot (Dominos01) is the bars showing good.

Second screenshot (Dominos02) is the bars showing some empty slots. The slots
that
get empty are random or at least havent got the same twice.

Okay, so things to note: When you learn first dual specs, you actually get a
second set of action buttons when
you switch to your second spec. Those buttons start out as being the same as
your old spec. So if you switch
to a second spec, move some buttons around, then switch back to your first
spec, it'll appear as if you did not
remove the buttons. The same thing goes for if you move buttons around in your
primary spec, then switch to
your secondary.

Since you mention that the lost buttons are random, I don't think that's the
problem, but try just sticking
buttons in those slots to see if they come back again.

The only other thing I can think of to try is to show empty buttons and see if
the problem can still be
reproduced. The last thing i can think of is to see if the same thing occurs
when you disable Dominos.

I am having the same issue. However it is further complicated by the fact that
it
sometimes happens when I change form from caster for to Moonkin form - or from
caster
form to tree form. (after I activate the talents)

What appears to be happening is that Bar #1 is copying to another bar. (Bar 8,
bar
10, and Bar 7 seem to be the main ones.) If I change bar #1 - it changes Bar
#x. If
I change bar# X if changes bar #1.

When I simply quit using the bar that is messed, Bar #1 will copy itself to a
different bar then next time I change talent specs, or sometimes even if I
reload the
U.I.

The issue does not appear to be triggered by caster form regardless of spec. I
think
it is related when I shift to Tree, Moonkin, or Kitty form.

Ive spent six hours trying to find a way to avoid the glitch. everything from
turning
off the addon before I change talents, to reloading the UI at misc. times.

This unexpected copy of spells happens almost every time I change talents, then
shift
form.

FYI - I do not have the same issue with the default U.I. with dominos turned
off.

@ladyhawke: that's just the normal effect of paging. you don't get extra bars
with
dominos, its just that you can temporarily display the actions from another
bar, while
keeping your same hotkeys. That's why I refer to paging as bar mirroring :)

I'm having the same issue as ladyhawk. It has nothing to do with changing specs
or
forms. It's happened to me on my druid, and again today on my hunter. I was
questing
normally, and the next thing I know, the tracking spells from bar 8 were on bar
1. If
I change the buttons from bar 1, the buttons on bar 8 will also change. the
bars are
duplicating themselves without me doing anything, including changing specs. I
love
dominoes, but if this carries on I'll have to abandon it. I don't want it to
happen
during a raid.

odds are, you're pressing shift + number/shift + mousewheel. shift + 1 should
bring you back.
