abm work for streetlamps #5

01: fine-tune the glow abm for tod (time of day) streetlamps. 02: add glow abm to (on right click_ streetlamps), so when you right click off, the glow stops.

The lamp looks really nice (on the screenshot at least, didn’t install) =) But I don’t fully understand the problems you mention. I suppose you want the manually-operated lamp to glow just like automatic one, but you also want the glow effect to disappear on switching the lamp off. That can’t be fully achieved with a particle, it can’t be controlled at all AFAIK. But an entity could be used instead. That’s heavier, of course, but e.g. signs with text use just that. In this case the entity doesn’t even need to be permanent, as in signs: it will be recreated by the ABM anyway.

P.S. It’s better to use separate GH issues for separate tasks/bugs/whatever.

@numberZero it is possible, I just have not done it yet.

not too sure what you mean here? Do you mean the fact that I have 01 and 02 in the issue? I felt they are related within the same issue

numberZero commented 5 years ago

I mean the issue name =) And the non-numbered item as well (it should be in the README actually IMO)

And I just noticed the “help wanted” label)

Ahhh, now I get what you mean. Changed the title and removed the unimportant comments from the OP. Those would certainly do much better in the overall description of the intended feel/theme of the project

Thank you very much for the input, I greatly appreciate it. Please let me know if you feel I understood what you were getting at, or not.

I think you did. If you need any help (as the label suggests), ping me)
