The error sounds like the connection was closed by the server. Can you tell me what you were downloading and how long time spans? When one dataset finished downloading, did you start a new one immediately afterwards? Also, did restarting the app help after you got the error? The more information you can provide helps me to possibly reproduce your problem.
FMI has some API usage restrictions. 600 requests/5minutes and 20 000/day. It is possible to reach the first limit quite easily if you download long time spans of real time observations or very long time spans (decades) of daily observations repeatedly. And did you try to use the app day after it stopped working? In case it works 24 hours later, I suspect you might have reached 20 000 limit if you downloaded a lot of data.
However, the application should give a specific error message when these limitations are exceeded so there might be a bug in the app.
Hi Tuomas,
Thanks for your response.
The error occurred after a while when the app was not used for an hour. The downloads before that was on single day duration on 6 stations, approximately 10 files in total (including some testing). Restarting the app did not help, but the following day it was working again. The following day I downloaded the same 6 stations but for entire 2017 with no problem. I haven't used it since so have not reproduced the error.
Best Regards
Farid

Hi Tumetsu,
First off, thanks for this great app!
However, after using the first time and app was running in bacground for an hour or so, I keep getting this error: ConnectionResetError: [WinError 10054] An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
First time it happened I restarted my computer and it helped, but this time it keeps prompting me with this message.
Is this on server side or a bug in the app?
Thanks in advance Farid
