What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Just opening the settings page

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

It did finally accept a user; however, it also showed the following:

Live+Press Email Crossposting   Auto-Sync Options
      No Synch,      Excerpt Only,       Entire Post.

 Include Linkback 
 Disable Remote Comments

what version of php have u got?   I need to try to duplicate it but i think my 
php5
is handling the problem and not giving me warning.

actually was your first error on line 467 corrected with 2.1.1 ?

ok, I think i've got it licked.  again, unable to verify because I don't see the
problem.   

do me a favor and if this doesn't fix it. with 2.1.2, Do the following for me.

1) click on reset options and wipe journals on the admin page.  start over. 
2) tell me if that works. If so it may point me in the right direction.
then also tell me what version of php you have running , apache, os or you web 
server.
