Apostrophes not posting to Live Journal. #38

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Plugin
2. Write a post with apostrophe
3. Publish post

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Post on Live Journal should include apostrophes. Post does not include
apostrophes.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.1.5. Not sure if the operating system matters, but it's a version of
Linux, Debian distribution.

Please provide any additional information below.
Probably is a simple fix, surprised no one has mentioned this before.

Hi Dan,

I'm afraid I can't duplicate this problem at all. Please tell me what browser
you
are using to make your post. Also try some others and let me know if you have
the
same problem.

Test with :
Firefox 2 or 3
Safari
Opera

thanks!

This is weird. Now I know the edit area in wordpress sort of acts weird
especially
when taking text from Microsoft Word and pasting it to wordpress. So what I do
is
type in word, and then I copy and paste to notepad to make sure it's stripped
of the
Word issues. Lastly I copy and paste from notepad to wordpress. I just did
the same
thing on my computer at home and it had the problem. I usually write my post in
word, and then I move it to notepad, and then I copy it to wordpress.

I then just wrote it in notepad and copy / pasted to wordpress and had no issue.

Well that's a little frustrating, since I'm used to notepad stripping the
issues Word
cause but with the plugin it doesn't. :(

Other then that the plugin it great!

Ok, Dan. I'm glad to year that it's not a plugin problem at least. if you like
to
write in word, try crimson editor. It's pretty good but simple editor. I don't
know
if that will solve your problem but it still is a good simple editor!

thx!
