child style to follow parent page style #167

Okay, so want I want should be simple, but there is no way I can make it work.

Here is the problem:

I have 6 parent pages and each one have 6 child pages. What I want to do is
create different styles (basic color changes in CSS) for each one of my
parent page and have them automatically apply to their child pages. So that
later when I add new child pages they will be styled according to their
parent pages.

Is this possible to do using a sandbox theme? I figured I could make
changes on a page to page basis (using their id numbers), but this would
make my life much easier...

Thanks in advance for any help, I appreciate any ideas.
