I think the problem caused by webpack's official noErrorsPlugin.

@Turbo87 I made a pull request. I think this was a major issue. Could you please merge and release?

Closing as webpack has changed a ton since than and my fix (https://github.com/Turbo87/webpack-notifier/pull/29) is not useful anymore.
