what image are you uploading? it only sets to bitmap if the file you selected was bitmap
No, I've been downloading normal images. It seems to set all of the images to Bitmap, regardless of the resolution.

Vector images will have a name that ends with ".svg". If your image has a "resolution" then by definition it is not vector as vector images are defined by shapes and lines, not pixels.
And I did just test, if I import a .svg then it will be added as vector, as intended. Any other format like .png, .jpg, .webp, .bmp, etc. is ALWAYS bitmap. Some bitmaps are higher resolution but they are always bitmaps.
If you still think there is something wrong then please provide an example file
Okay, I'll try it.

I just tried uploading an image as an svg, and it gave me a question mark. What does that mean?

Okay, give me the file you tried to upload
Actually I just tried to rename a jpeg to an svg, now i realize that in order for it to be an svg it has to originally be one.

I actually uploaded a jpeg that I tried to rename to an svg. It was my own mistake, not a problem with Turbowarp.

When you upload an image, it automatically sets the mode to Bitmap instead of Vector. This makes the image look pixelated which cannot be undone.
