Summary of changes for extension developers:

EVENT is to be used for responding to external events such as click
HAT isEdgeActivated: false is like EVENT but can run arbitrary code and inputs, not just field filters
HAT isEdgeActivated: true is the same as ever

Need to rewrite the exercises
