as per issue #14

[x] synthetic examples that are challenging to sample
- [x] Banana
- [x] Cross distribution
- [x] warped Gaussian
- [x] neal's funnel

I think the previous mentioned issues are fixed. @torfjelde Can you take another skim before I hit the "big green button"?

Ah sorry, I didn't make it clear that you could just hit the big green button once the comments had been addresed (or did my review end up being marked as stale?)!
