6 years ago Chat Tweaks works by replacing the chat to be able to render it by itself, however that will not affect any chat displays added by other mods. It's odd that it's not showing anything at all, since JourneyMap's chat shows chat just without the special rendering, but there's also not much I can do here since Pixelmon is closed source and locked behind an adfly link.
The side chat option is meant for temporary status messages and doesn't support the same set of features that the default chat does.
Having some issues with this mod and Pixelmon Reforged. (http://reforged.gg/) Not huge issues; the only problem I'm having is that when you go into battle with a pokemon for some reason you're no longer able to see chat. idunno why. If the side option was able to be moved up per say and the font and size increased and could be toggled to perm stay on with like a scroll wheel like a secondary chat thing then this wouldnt be an issue. The font though is soooo small and the text doesnt stay on screen long enough so you really cant tell what it says in time.
