media doesn't load #1134

Expected behavior

all pictures posted by the twitter account (when swiping to media on the profile page) should load

Actual behavior

only a couple do, there will be a loading icon, but it will never actually load the rest of the pictures

I observe the same (Android 5.1), Twidere version: 3.7.3.

Same problem here. No pictures in media. Android 8. Is it something twitter api changes related?

is there no alternate twitter app that doesnt have simple issues like this? fix plesaeaesaesase

@deinodon I'm sorry, but here's the wrong place to plead for that. You'd need to plead at Twitter to open up and maintain their API like they did in 2010 and before. With their current policy on the API, every third-party app will have some seemingly "simple" problems (which are actually hard problems: made hard by Twitter).

The only real solution I see here is to eventually migrate away from Twitter. Since Twidere allows you to connect to other social networks (i.e. the Fediverse with Mastodon, Pleroma, etc...) and crosspost to Twitter, it allows you to do that without a hard cut.
