3 years ago For me this is fixed when I disable battery optimization for this app. I suggest the app prompts the user to disable battery optimization when they first open this app.
My info: android 11, Samsung, Twidere 4.1.8, wifi
Sadly, the only other thing that can be done is implementing a permanent notification (which consumes more battery than simply turning off battery optimization, so bad idea?). This is a limitation from Android devices, it's more likely to happen with Samsung and probably other manufacturers. This is a common issue on many android apps.

No tweet notifications at all. I love Twidere but without notifications it's basically useless for me. Had the same issue months ago when I first tried Twidere but then I moved on. Now I came back and the issue still persists. A few people on Reddit seem to have the same issue. Other notifications work fine on my device. Moreover when I first logged in on Twidere, I received multiple notifications about mentions from the past. No tweet notifications though.
