Datapack Not Detected #1

Hey, so I was looking for a way to alter the distance of my beacons and was recommended this datapack. I saw that it was a fabric one, so I installed the Fabric launcher, and then placed the datapack in my .minecraft/saves/[world]/datapacks folder, as a zip file (I had already modified the config.json to my desired values). I then launched minecraft, and opened my world, but was not able to enable the datapack, or even see it using '/datapack list'. I closed minecraft completely, went back to my datapacks folder and unzipped the file into the datapacks folder, rechecked the config.json to make sure my changes had been saved(they had), and relaunched the fabric launcher. When I opened my world, the same situation as previously described occurred. At this point, I wanted to reach out for assistance, because I'm totally new to datapacks(I haven't played minecraft in years) and can't figure out what I fucked up.
